I had some very difficult decisions to make and I didn't want to make them on a 'whim'.

*Please note:  There are several positions with "TBA" listed!  These positions will be assigned as the year progresses!  If you are interested in one of these "TBA" positions, please speak to Ms. Neander ASAP.  She would like these positions to go to underclassmen (non-seniors) who are looking to gain experience!

I am proud to announce the cast for CHS Drama Department's 2006 fall production of Neil Simon's comedic farce RUMORS!

To everyone who auditioned ... thank you for sharing your time & talents!  This was the MOST DIFFICULT casting decision I have ever had to make.  You are all ridiculously talented and I look forward to seeing you on the stage very soon!  If you did not make the cast for this production, please consider filling out a technical application and working as a part of the backstage crew!

me_director: DANCE ... NOTHING LEFT FOR ME TO DO!

Hello gang!
I'm proud to say that the CHS Drama Department completed our first workshop of the year today: DANCE, DANCE, DANCE!

To everyone who attended - FABULOUS JOB! You were all simply amazing. We were able to move MUCH FASTER than we anticipated! The sequence from "Brass Band" was actually for next week! :o)
Don't forget the sequel DANCE, DANCE, DANCE - PART 2 will be on Saturday, September 16th from 2-5pm. Kayla will be teaching a sequence to "Rhythm of Life" from Sweet Charity and Brooke will be teaching another "fosse-esque" number (could be "Big Spender"). You'll have to come to see! :o)
While attending this workshop doesn't guarantee you a role in Sweet Charity, it does give you some valuable & practical dance techniques in the style of Bob Fosse, which can't hurt when audition times comes rolling around!

For those of you who were unable to attend - Sorry we missed you! Hopefully you'll be able to make it to our next sequence of workshops. You are more than welcome to come next weekend to DANCE, DANCE, DANCE - PART 2 but only those students who attended today will be able to DANCE!

iamnotpunk: My last year!!

Welcome back everyone!
I'm so excited that school is starting again because I get to take three or four drama classes ^,^ so I'll more than likely see you all in the drama room.

Just wanted to wish everyone good luck "GL" in all your classes next year-slash-tomorrow. I seem to be the only one that uses Elljay anymore but I never really caught onto myspace. Oh well, see you in Ms Neander's room!

So the 2006-2007 Executive Board met yesterday and we started planning the upcoming year!  Let me just say that we have SO MUCH in store for everyone!  :o)

One of our topics of discussion was COMMUNICATION!  How can we better communicate with the members of our troupe/club/program/etc?
The answer was simple ... THE INTERNET!  We plan to use BOTH LJ and MYSPACE to post frequent reminders about upcoming events!

me_director: Grease! the Musical

Many of you already know about GREASE!, but a little extra publicity never hurt anyone!  :o)

It has been an AMAZING opportunity and a SHEER pleasure to spend my summer vacation working with some of the most FABULOUS and TALENTED young performers from all across Citrus County as we mounted the 1st ANNUAL CITRUS COUNTY UNIFIED HIGH SCHOOL THEATRE PROJECT (YES ... we will be back next summer, if not before).


You, whoever and wherever you are, should make every effort to attend this production ... not just to see the stage overflowing with some FUTURE STARS, but to see a completely PHENOMENAL production of the classic "high school musical"!
